Tristan Dark is an internationally known brand for horse photography.

Commercial works for some of the world’s most famous breeders, and a ceaseless progress in the developing of a specific photographic equine art, has rapidly lead it to an unanimous appreciation and heavy presence on many European and American magazines.

Founder and senior photographer Marco Brunetti has combined the Italian taste and creativity of his land with the American vision of commercial horse advertising and an intelligent - yet extremely powerful - use of image processing into “pieces-of-art” where every detail is emphasized with class and elegance.

Such a lasting contact with the noblest animals on earth - and the strictly-associated values of tradition, luxury, suffering and glory - has naturally lead Tristan Dark to develop a definitive passion for a very specific “field” of the human history where horses have always played a key role: Greek mythology and – more specifically – the oppressive, sulphureous beauty of the Greek Goddesses.

If the first works were just a passionate tribute to the female beauty in a Greek context – similarly to John William Godward’s paintings, but with a more dramatic appeal - later works show a much more “reasoned” approach to the theme, with an extensive historical research – performed locally and abroad – and the consequent identification of a specific series of “biographical” episodes that will be celebrated in a book to be released between 2012 and the 2013, and whose photos are presently – for obvious reasons – not available to the public.
